13 Of Sport’s Horrors

Some sports are really dangerous. And when I say dangerous, you’ll see below exactly what I mean. From eye gauging to ankle breaking, these are some of the most funny or scary sport mishaps we came across so far. I just can’t wait for the Olympics, especially the bloopers and accidents that derive from this wonderful event.

Great collection, but you forgot both instances in ice hockey where a player has had their throat slashed by a skate! Clint Malarchuck (goalie) of the Buffalo Sabres on March 22nd, 1989, in a game against the St. Louis Blues, and Richard Zednik (right wing) of the Florida Panthers on February 10th, 2008, in a game against the Buffalo Sabres .

To be fair to the rally driver, rally spectators are all nominees for the Darwin award. Their general mindset is “How close CAN we get to the track in a sport where drivers regularly and spectaculary cut-corners and crash out while driving at high speeds on loose dirt, gravel, ice and snow and all weather conditions?”.

I could watch all sorts of gruesome and gory events all day, but show me a limb bent the wrong way and I nearly throw the chili back up into the bowl. Excellent post, sorry for my graphic reaction.
