Well, these are the things you will never expect to find on an X-ray. At least not in a normal hospital. From a simple pencil to broken bones, you will be left wondering how and why did that get in there.
1,2 tube/pipe impaled

Some of them may look fake, but still interesting/funny.

That snapped vertebrae made me cringe.

They are aliens?

I don’t get how shattered feet, blown apart hands, broken backs, or smashed skulls are funny.

Is that Richard Gere’s xray with the tube sticking out of his bum?
Posted by Marenda | February 7th, 2008 1:00 pm
wow these are bizarre, are these real?
Posted by wtf | February 7th, 2008 1:09 pm
Why name the article “What People Put Inside” if half the pics are just broken bones?
Posted by KD | February 7th, 2008 1:17 pm
HAHAHAHAHA, Richard Gere . . . .
Posted by jamie | February 7th, 2008 1:19 pm
looks like more than just what people put inside them. would be cooler if you had some descriptions for your pictures.
Posted by Tristan | February 7th, 2008 1:29 pm
I’m not sure, but that last one looks very familiar. I thought I had seen that X-ray as part of an article about an explosive of some kind that went off inside the hand. Possibly a firework or a flashbomb.
Posted by Keith | February 7th, 2008 1:30 pm
>4. not sure but could be injection device situated on the person not in, no lateral view to confirm placement
Seriously? No one is going to say that it’s a vibrator up in there?
Posted by Joe | February 7th, 2008 1:45 pm
Number 4 is a battery attached to a very tiny motor which spins a half circle of metal.
A friend of mine put one underneath his motorcycles passenger seat, and it causes the passenger seat to vibrate.
Posted by Jon | February 7th, 2008 1:54 pm
I was just going to say it… That’s a vibrator up there.
The last one is from a firecracker; I think it was an M80 or something like it.
Posted by Mark E. | February 7th, 2008 2:23 pm
So, I’m pretty sure the 4th one is a vibrator. The thing at the end is a motor, the thing at the base is a battery pack. In addition, you can see a penis shaped x-ray shadow around the motor. Definitely a very large penis-shaped vibrator.

Hmm. Crushed humans. Kind of sad and disturbing for the most part.
Posted by Jess | February 7th, 2008 2:59 pm
#4 is a vibrator, specifically an iVibe Flex. I work in an adult shoppe and sell these for a living. Never thought I’d recognize one in this context though…
Posted by trendsettr | February 7th, 2008 3:22 pm
#10 is actually from a firecracker. I’ve seen that pic before on a blog and they said his hand was like that because of mis-handling a firecracker.
Posted by BAMS | February 8th, 2008 2:28 am
#4 is clearly a vibrator….
Posted by pyro fox | February 8th, 2008 2:51 am
The 3rd one is clearly a vibrator. you can see the head of the object around the motor
Posted by Name | February 8th, 2008 5:39 am
None of this is funny.

Ouch the first one had some humor but when i got to the spine and the fingers the tone changed >>,<<
Posted by hk | February 8th, 2008 6:14 am
Nr. 10 was an explosion – glad to see just the x-ray of the hand
Posted by joe | February 8th, 2008 8:50 am
wow i think these are really cool! how did his toes get to such a position?
Posted by DaMan | February 8th, 2008 2:43 pm
#4 is SO a vibrator
Posted by Suzanne | February 8th, 2008 11:42 pm
the broken spine one could very well have been my Dad’s. He’s not dead, but he’ll never walk again either.
No, not funny at all.

OK the descriptions are screwed up. Here’s the real ones:
1. AP and lateral radiographs of a patient with a large glass graduated cylinder inserted into the rectum and sigmoid colon.

Wait, seriously? Someone getting impaled by a pipe is funny? I mean, I guess it could look like a giant dildo or something, but to be protruding from one’s stomach!? Not humorous.

i am a dentist and i want to know about xray in maxillary and mandiboular and hurt about neck.

You kind of miss the point on the discription of #3. Yes, that is a back board in the frame. What is missing it the dudes arm. Looks like a traumatic amputation.
Posted by Dirk | May 13th, 2008 5:52 pm
I really don’t think that is funny.
Posted by fuck u sir corrects alot | July 12th, 2008 11:02 pm
yeah right what little kid is stupid enough to eat a needle
Posted by You're wrong | August 18th, 2008 3:58 am
The one with the pin is a kid. If you look at the left leg (the one on the right side of the x-ray) you can see the fingers of the person who was holding the childs leg. The fingers are in lead gloves, so there are no bones visible, but they’re fingers, none the less. Compare the size of the fingers to the size of the leg.
Posted by Snoodle | August 24th, 2008 12:43 am
Pretty sure #4 is a gigantic vibrator XD
Ouch the last one
Posted by illinoisred | August 29th, 2008 6:01 pm
The last one was the result of holding an M-80 too long. Saw the news article some time ago. You don’t forget the shape that hand was left in.

Actually picture #4 is easy to diagnose. It’s obviously a small motor connected to a battery case via a short cord. I’d say the person wanted to make a small anal vibrator and it got “sucked” up out of reach. lol
Posted by Reality | July 7th, 2009 2:49 am
For all the people that are complaining about how this is not funny and how it is disturbing, stfu. You saw the first pic yet you continued to scroll down and look at each and every pic. If you didn’t like them, stop looking at them and don’t bitch about it.

My MOTHER told me on her death bed, in a gentle way, to not be like the neighborhood before us, but to be better. I take that to be my destiny to keep the way that worked then to be the way that will now!
You live in the slums you choose because you are unable to get off your asses and get into the real world. What ever you do in 2011,,,, your mother said be safe, be smart, and don’t let your sister get dead! Up to you bad ass. Kill your sister or HONOR your mother?

That foot one made me go ” Greeeeeat! Someone posted my broken foot x-ray! Just kidding. This was over a year before I cracked my foot nearly in half. I’m a huge clutz and I was walking out of class when I tripped on a desk leg, it didn’t hurt then. When I got to my next class though, right in the middle of the video, this huge pain shot through my foot and I screamed and tore my shoe off and everyone was staring at me like a freak! The teacher turned the light on and said ” What the hel-” she looked at my foot and stopped mid sentence. It was 7 times it’s normal size and 3 of my toes looked like they grew in the side of my foot. It took ne nearly 2 hours with the help of 3 classmates, the nurse and a teacher to get me to the nurse’s office. If you’ve ever broken a foot, then you know it’s immposible to walk on, espesially when you’re going down 2 flights of stairs!
