February 6, 2008 - 1,549 views

Well, these are the things you will never expect to find on an X-ray. At least not in a normal hospital. From a simple pencil to broken bones, you will be left wondering how and why did that get in there.

Some of them may look fake, but still interesting/funny.

  2. tedrick on February 7th, 2008 11:27 am

That snapped vertebrae made me cringe.

  3. Gadget Reviews on February 7th, 2008 11:54 am

    They are aliens?

  4. Err on February 7th, 2008 12:18 pm

I don’t get how shattered feet, blown apart hands, broken backs, or smashed skulls are funny.

  5. Durka Durka on February 7th, 2008 12:38 pm

Is that Richard Gere’s xray with the tube sticking out of his bum?

  6. Marenda on February 7th, 2008 1:00 pm

wow these are bizarre, are these real?

  7. wtf on February 7th, 2008 1:09 pm

Why name the article “What People Put Inside” if half the pics are just broken bones?

  8. KD on February 7th, 2008 1:17 pm

    HAHAHAHAHA, Richard Gere . . . .

  9. jamie on February 7th, 2008 1:19 pm

looks like more than just what people put inside them. would be cooler if you had some descriptions for your pictures.

  10. Tristan on February 7th, 2008 1:29 pm

I’m not sure, but that last one looks very familiar. I thought I had seen that X-ray as part of an article about an explosive of some kind that went off inside the hand. Possibly a firework or a flashbomb.

    >4. not sure but could be injection device situated on the person not in, no lateral view to confirm placement

Seriously? No one is going to say that it’s a vibrator up in there?

  12. Joe on February 7th, 2008 1:45 pm

Number 4 is a battery attached to a very tiny motor which spins a half circle of metal.

A friend of mine put one underneath his motorcycles passenger seat, and it causes the passenger seat to vibrate.

  13. Jon on February 7th, 2008 1:54 pm

I was just going to say it… That’s a vibrator up there.

The last one is from a firecracker; I think it was an M80 or something like it.

  14. Mark E. on February 7th, 2008 2:23 pm

So, I’m pretty sure the 4th one is a vibrator. The thing at the end is a motor, the thing at the base is a battery pack. In addition, you can see a penis shaped x-ray shadow around the motor. Definitely a very large penis-shaped vibrator.

  15. Jonathan Field on February 7th, 2008 2:42 pm

Hmm. Crushed humans. Kind of sad and disturbing for the most part.

  16. Jess on February 7th, 2008 2:59 pm

#4 is a vibrator, specifically an iVibe Flex. I work in an adult shoppe and sell these for a living. Never thought I’d recognize one in this context though…

  17. trendsettr on February 7th, 2008 3:22 pm

#10 is actually from a firecracker. I’ve seen that pic before on a blog and they said his hand was like that because of mis-handling a firecracker.

  18. BAMS on February 8th, 2008 2:28 am

    #4 is clearly a vibrator….

  19. pyro fox on February 8th, 2008 2:51 am

The 3rd one is clearly a vibrator. you can see the head of the object around the motor

  20. Name on February 8th, 2008 5:39 am

    None of this is funny.

  21. ss on February 8th, 2008 6:10 am

Ouch the first one had some humor but when i got to the spine and the fingers the tone changed >>,<<

  22. hk on February 8th, 2008 6:14 am

Nr. 10 was an explosion - glad to see just the x-ray of the hand

  23. joe on February 8th, 2008 8:50 am

wow i think these are really cool! how did his toes get to such a position?

  24. DaMan on February 8th, 2008 2:43 pm

    #4 is SO a vibrator

  25. Suzanne on February 8th, 2008 11:42 pm

the broken spine one could very well have been my Dad’s. He’s not dead, but he’ll never walk again either.

    No, not funny at all.

  26. shawn on February 28th, 2008 9:47 am

oh yes it’s so hard to figure out why the guy has a pacemaker…

  27. Sir Corrects-a-lot on March 22nd, 2008 8:34 pm

OK the descriptions are screwed up. Here’s the real ones:

    1. AP and lateral radiographs of a patient with a large glass graduated cylinder inserted into the rectum and sigmoid colon.
    2. Same as 1.
    3. Traumatic amputation of the arm. Industrial accident.
    4. A quite large dildo that is beyond the point of self-retrieval in the rectum and sigmoid of a patient.
    5. Young child who swallowed a needle, unknown to the parents. The parents presented the child to the ER after the mother noticed the needle protruding sharp end first from the peri-anal region. After an uneventful transit through the intestinal tract, feces in the rectum had forced the needle through the tissues as the child was attempting to defecate.
    6. Very advanced decomposition can be recognized here by the separation of the lumbar vertebrae and the pelvic ring. (Separation after death.)
    7. Extensive forefoot fractures secondary to motorcycle crash.
    8. Shot glass in the rectum.
    9. Homicide. Multiple large caliber gunshot wounds to the head.
    10. Young male was holding a homemade explosive device. The fuse of the device was lit, and the patient was unable to throw it away before it detonated.

Wait, seriously? Someone getting impaled by a pipe is funny? I mean, I guess it could look like a giant dildo or something, but to be protruding from one’s stomach!? Not humorous.

  29. mahmoud rafie on May 4th, 2008 5:51 am

i am a dentist and i want to know about xray in maxillary and mandiboular and hurt about neck.

  30. mark on May 5th, 2008 8:45 pm

You kind of miss the point on the discription of #3. Yes, that is a back board in the frame. What is missing it the dudes arm. Looks like a traumatic amputation.

  31. Dirk on May 13th, 2008 5:52 pm

I really don’t think that is funny.
    It is disgusting and shocking.
Do you think X-rays of people are funny?
