Wrong giraffe
November 13, 2008
Gemina was born in 1986, in San Diego. There no sign of deformities so Gemina was taken to a zoo Santa Barbara, when she was about one year. The giraffe continued to act and look normally for three years, but soon, her spine started to brake little by little in the neck area. The spine deformity became so obvious that it was hard to overlook. A similar case was registered in the early 1900s. The scientists, zoologists and veterinarians have been unable to find the explanation for this.
Modern-Day Atlantis
October 31, 2008
As if Dubai’s 7-stars Burj al Arab Hotel wasn’t wonderful enough, the wealthy Arab sheics have created an even greater architectural wonder, the Atlantis. It cost over 1,5 billion dollars to build, but the investors are confident that they will recover their investment in just a few years, and at a minimum of $1,000 per room/night, they just might. The theme rooms, like Poseidon and Neptune go up to $8,000-$10,000 a night.
Built on the artificial island known as The Palm, Atlantis has 1373 room, 166 apartments, a giant fish-tank with 65,000 fish, a 170,000 square meters aqua park, artificial beaches, a lagoon and even an artificial river. Plenty of reasons to visit…if you can afford it.

Meet Samson
October 31, 2008
At 6 feet and 5 inches, Samson is by far the largest dog in the United Kingdom. Don’t worry though, this “puppy’s” bark is a lot worse than his bite, he’s what you’d call a harmless giant that loves to be petted even by strangers. A cross between a Great Dane and a Newfoundland, Samson is about the size of a small horse and even wears a raincoat meant for one, because, like his owners say “Such a large dog getting soaking wet wouldn’t smell very nice.”
Samson is only three years old and will continue to grow even more and the owners fear that soon they’ll be forced to get a bigger house. the current one is already pretty shaken up from the dog’s loud snoring.

Tunnel Vision - I haz it!
October 13, 2008
Even though it’s not that funny, I always laugh when I come across animals stuck one way or another. Take this cow, for example or this curious hedgehog that really wanted to see how tunnel vision feels like.

I can haz baby back?
October 8, 2008
We already had a look at how the squirrel goes nuts for its baby. This is another case of mother love in the animal kingdom. The dog might have been simply curious, but the monkey smelled danger and intervened. Needless to say, the dog ran humiliated, with its tail between its legs.

Recycling - You’re Doing It Wrong
October 2, 2008
I’m not sure about you, but I for one try to recycle plastic bottles everytime I can. But these guys are doing it all wrong. Still, in case you want to explore the urban jungle or simply want to go fishing where no one usually goes, here’s a clever way to get around not having a boat - make yourself one from plastic bottles.

Norwegian-styled Graffiti
September 23, 2008
This summer, the Norwegian government invited two well-known street artists by the names of Dolk and Pobel to turn abandoned warehouses and houses into something a bit more attractive. They took care of Lofoten, a district of Nordland in Norway. The art bears a striking similarity with Bansky. Nonetheless, here is some creative street art from Norway.
