In an attempt to flash his money around and makes feel even worse, an Arab sheik bought a yacht and had it destroyed. The ship worth about one million dollars on the reef of the Bahamas islands was destroyed with the help of an excavator. Naturally, the remains were taken to a landfill and the million disappeared as fast as it was made. Here are some shots from the wrecking process.

What an idiot!

It would have been better to stack the money up, put on some makeup and then set it on fire.

Far more likely scenario: Yacht is accidentally beached. Yacht expert discovers that the yacht is damaged beyond repair (e.g., damaged hull frame). Local government wants beached yacht off of their beautiful beach, so they hire some excavators to remove it.

Sorry, but I think you need to check your source of information.
That is not a yacht.
It is a cruiser.
It is not a million dollar boat, or yacht.
Cryptonic is probably right, it was beached and destroyed the hull and or the drive units.
You can see it is clearly mired in the sand and probably been there a while.
It was probably a write off by insurance company.
I dont mean to be too critical of your story but I live on a 63 foot boat that I own and it didnt cost a million dollars. I live on the water and this story didnt wash ashore with me. Cool pics though and too bad for the owner. Who knows what the real story is on this. Stolen, drug bust, storm. I also dont think a Arab sheik would be caught dead in that cruiser.

That boat is probably a 44 foot cabin cruiser, maybe Sea Ray or something. Cost maybe $500k new, $240k now. I have one Ill sell for a million though. Then you can say you own a million dollar boat : D

Proceso de (des)montaje de un Yate…

Un yate de un millón de dólares encallado en una playa paradisíaca de las Bahamas. Para que luego digan que los ricos no comparten….

I guess the mafia didn’t get their money.

I highly doubt that is a million dollar yacht.
