If I would have been a church-goer, I would have said this is a sign from God. Since I don’t believe in supernatural, I’ll just settle for the term “bizarre weather occurrence”, captured on film in Madeira, a Portuguese archipelago in the north Atlantic Ocean. The photographer has yet to discover what was under that spotlight.
The total solar eclipse has taken place on August 1, 2008 and lasted around 1 minute and 30 seconds. If you too slept during the eclipse and missed it, it was captured on camera. The total eclipse was observed in Western Siberia from the north to the south, then in regions of China and Mongolia. The next one will occur in Northern America in 2017, in Europe – in 2026, and in Russia – in 2030. You won’t get to see another one for quite some time, here’s your chance to see it.
