The Phillipines Hotel

We’re already on a series to give you some of the most shocking hotel rooms around the world we could find. We started with a shocking hotel room in Russia for $40, then continued with the cheapest hotel room somewhere in China, where you pay $2 a night. This time, we’re taking a look at the accommodations Philippines provides for the weary traveler. It seems that where girls are cheap, so is the hotel room. And it’s only $2 for a night.

I’ve been in way better jail cells than that.
It looks like my old jail cell.
Im from the Philippines. Where exactly is this hotel that you say? The fixtures look way too old, there are hotels/motels in the Philippines that can rate to $2 but definitely the room and fixtures would have been a lot better.
looks like the place in NYC I stayed in for $150 a night!!!
Last summer we found a room (more a guesthouse than a hotel) in Laos for only 1$ a night (negotiated down from $1.50). Riverfront, complete with mosquito net and oil lamp. Upon entering a large rat jumped down from the ceiling and ran under the bed.
Dude that looks like a jail cell to me. no way I’d stay there. Eeewww.

Wow, it might be more sanitary to just go sleep under a tree.
Hell, when I was in the Navy and stationed over there, we’d go to some pretty small towns and rent rooms. This is palatial!!! Of course Makati has some awfully fine hotels that I’d rather stay at!!!
are you sure you’re not in prison?
it seems like a mental jail. It fits you, you look retarded.
If it wasn’t for the nasty toilet, I could live in there.
Pfft, you’re travelling, don’t be a wuss.
Why are you talking to a lamp?
i would have spent the two dollars on girls instead.
When considering that room as a hotel accomodation, I was sickened by it. No way I would sleep in there!
Then, after reading comments comparing that room to a jail cell, I looked back at the picture and tried to imagine it as a jail cell I had to sleep in.
Suddenly it didn’t look as bad! I was ready to lie down, forget everything and go to sleep.
Not sure why I reacted that way. Maybe because I wouldn’t have to PAY to sleep in a jail cell?
Thats a bathroom with a cot in it.

They call that complimentary breakfast.
I’d sleep there for 2$
