It’s probably common knowledge by know that Dell laptop batteries are overheating a lot. These pictures, along with a video of an exploding laptop, caused the company to recall batteries for about 22,000 laptops. Surprinsingly, even though the laptop has its corners melte, it can still be turned on, displaying the blue screen of death. Here’s how a melted Dell battery looks like.

So…which picture shows a “Blue screen of Death”?
Picture 8 shows a normal Dell boot up screen, Picture 9 shows the dell booting into the diagnostics partition (All Dells come with a diagnostic partition) and picture 10 shows the computer in the BIOS. I don’t see a “BOS” in any of the pictures…In fact, if these pictures prove anything is that Dell computers are very robust and that even after they have been burned, you can still get the computer to boot and actually do more than give you an error!

That’s not the BSOD

@Steve

Seconded: that’s not the blue screen of death.

Given that from pictures 2-4 you seem to have removed the hard drive, I’d say that’s just a POST, and then you get dumped to BIOS. Granted, it is blue, but has nothing to do with Windows.

Impressive that it’s even able to turn on, though!
