Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

August 28, 2008 - 75,802 views

The status of Islamic women is a controversial issue and luckily, we’re not going to tackle that. We’re going to take a look at how these girls spend their free time, even though they should probably cook, clean the house or serve their man. So here’s how some Arab girls have fun, according to pictures leaked from a girl’s phone . I bet under that black robe, those girls are really cute and outgoing.

You know that right after these pictures hit the web, all these women/girls were either beaten or put to death for embarrassing the families that they belong to.

  3. B on August 28th, 2008 8:57 pm

You know Arabs are just like Americans just like Canadians just like Britons just like Africans just like Indians, we all have different cultures that to the other might look a little silly/crazy/stupid (i mean, tractor pulls?). Whats really disturbing is that we as a hole have yet to understand that concept. Inside our minds/body’s we are all the same and its really about time to understand we all really can get along. Stop the ignorance people your just as different to them as they are to you.

    Dear B,

You are correct arabs are just like any other humans and your criticism upon erichansa is well noted also just because he/she finds another culture is funny does not make him/her an ignorant aggressor. Also no one has a good point, these women are oppressed, having many of their basic human rights ignored, what is the point of taking a picture when you can’t even tell which one is you. Its sad seeing on how these women have been forced to put these gowns on.

    btw, it’s spelled whole*

    Quoting Cyndi Lauper is appropriate:

    “Some boys wanna take
    a beautiful girl
and hide her away from the rest of the world.

I wanna be the one who walk is the sun
    ( refrain )”

It’s amazing how these girls are just doing the same things as girls in the US do. Just while wearing a sheet over themselves. But it doesn’t change their behavior :P

  8. ninjas on August 28th, 2008 10:41 pm

They’re definitely not very good ninjas. Not only are they visible, but whoever took the pictures lived long enough to take more than one.

I think the Islamic people of the world need to improve their ninjas if they want to compete on the world stage.

Existence does not make their culture acceptable, just as some facets of our own culture are unacceptable to some people. Imagine being beaten for wearing a red shirt. This is what they face, should they try and buck the enforced religious tenants.

  10. abdulla on August 28th, 2008 11:43 pm

im arabic person!! i will speak behalf of my country .. ” kuwait ” ,, we don’t beat our girls to wear veil or whatever you guys call it .

islam said that its prefered to put it on ,, those who hit their girl are the small close minded people of our nation ..

shamly people only see the bad stuff about other and forget about the good stuff .. and btw .. they dont force the girl to wear it ,, she wear it on her own .. cause islam seize to spread democracy not by forcing , but by giving u the ideas of whats best and let you do what u want ,, cause in the end your responsible for your actions .. not the stuff you follow ..

for example .. if some on in us killed other .. will that make all us people killers ?
its the same here people .. some people do wrong stuff still .. they say that all of us are wrong ..

    anyway.. back to erichansa
no we’re not funny .. those who show their self in a stupid way like those girls .. are funny :D i wont say if some one from ur country is stupid ,, that all ur country stupid :P

    have fun guys :P

and ya .. those people look stupid xD ,,,

well i dont really know, i guess i would prefer women in my country wearing those, i am pretty damn face-bling and it would save me lots of trouble.
So how the hell do they recognise each other?

  15. Joe on August 29th, 2008 2:28 am

It kills me that women are forced to hide themselves because the males in their society can’t take ownership of the own basic nature. They force women to hide themselves, why? Because they may be tempted somehow? And that is the women’s fault? So they oppress them is some way to be holier? That is so not taking ownership of your own shit and blaming someone else for it. I am totally fascinated by other cultures and different perspectives but here we have an entire faith and culture with this people built upon not realizing and accepting the fact that we are just human. Then they brand it as faith or religion which is just another bullshit excuse for not owning your own shit!! Grow up already and gain some kind of awareness of who you are as a person. Stop oppressing people who are less strong. If you were actually strong you be righteous with temptation. Be loving without oppression. Then your faith might actually mean something good. The only thing constant in life is change. Without change we would all die. Without learning and growing and loving, you are not actually living.

Do you really think that chose to do it? Are you SEEING these pictures? People are the same everywhere, yes, therefore I know how free girls behave, trust me, these girls if they could would drop these black covers in one second.
They pretend that they want to because they don’t wont to be outcasts.
Muslim people that speak things that you do are very scary to me. This kind of thinking is why Islam is so unpopular in the west. The sad thing is you won’t understand what I say and you will think I hate you and want another Crusade.

“Do you really think that chose to do it? Are you SEEING these pictures? People are the same everywhere, yes, therefore I know how free girls behave, trust me, these girls if they could would drop these black covers in one second.”

No, no, no. People are *basically* the same everywhere - they aren’t identical. There are still cultural differences, and different opinions on “freedom”, especially when religious views come into it. You can’t possibly say what these women would do “if they could” without knowing them. Some people think that women in our culture are “oppressed” to some extent by the expectation on them to make themselves attractive. Doubtless there are people in Iran who see pictures of western women in high heels, short skirts and five pounds of makeup and think those women would drop it all if they had the opportunity. I’m not saying I agree with the veil, but you cannot say for certain that a “free girl” would never wear it out of choice.

  21. Jonan on August 29th, 2008 5:36 am

oh, congrats! now those women will be killed! ;(

  22. Michael on August 29th, 2008 5:45 am

As retarded as it sounds, I’ve always wondered how these girls recognize one another, or how the men recognize the women.

  23. koss on August 29th, 2008 6:38 am

What else can you expect when their religion defines women as:
    “They are dirty beings”
“Women are worth less than half of a men”
“Their very existence distracts men from focusing on Holy God. So they must cover themselves up”.

In the Middle East, men are free to hit on girls and do whatever they want, but if a girl is as much as seen with other men, their lives are in danger.

Not hate-mongering, but the truth. We should feel compassion for them!

The real problem with Islam is that Islam does not allow religious freedom. The punishment for leaving Islam in Sharia is death - and more and more countries with Muslim populations are rejecting human rights and implementing Sharia or Sharia inspired laws. With petrodollars, Saudi Arabia in particular is able to fund and promote their hate filled ideology around the world.

A recent example of a Sharia inspired action is where a Saudi man cut out the tongue and burned to death his daughter who had converted to Christianity.
    http://www.gulfnews.com/news/gulf/saudi_arabia/10236558.html

Think about that for a moment: What crime would a member of your family have to commit for you to get a knife, cut out their tongue and burn them to death?

Perhaps to top the story off, the man is now wanted by the Saudi government. Not for the fact that he killed his daughter (because she had converted to Christianity she had to be killed, as Saudi Arabia follows Sharia), but because he had denied the State their right to kill the girl.

Regarding the “ninjabis”, they are to be pitied rather than ridiculed. They are forced - or brainwashed - into wearing the niqab.

“cause islam seize to spread democracy not by forcing , but by giving u the ideas of whats best and let you do what u want ,, cause in the end your responsible for your actions”

Then why is the Patriarch of Constantinople still under house arrest? Why were Arab Christians taken as slaves for the army of the Sultan? This was not spread through “giving ideas” but by the scimitar. To say otherwise is to ignore the history of the region.

THE nation’s most senior Muslim cleric has blamed immodestly dressed women who don’t wear Islamic headdress for being preyed on by men and likened them to abandoned “meat” that attracts voracious animals.

In a Ramadan sermon that has outraged Muslim women leaders, Sydney-based Sheik Taj Din al-Hilali also alluded to the infamous Sydney gang rapes, suggesting the attackers were not entirely to blame.
While not specifically referring to the rapes, brutal attacks on four women for which a group of young Lebanese men received long jail sentences, Sheik Hilali said there were women who “sway suggestively” and wore make-up and immodest dress … “and then you get a judge without mercy (rahma) and gives you 65 years”.

“But the problem, but the problem all began with who?” he asked.

The leader of the 2000 rapes in Sydney’s southwest, Bilal Skaf, a Muslim, was initially sentenced to 55 years’ jail, but later had the sentence reduced on appeal.

In the religious address on adultery to about 500 worshippers in Sydney last month, Sheik Hilali said: “If you take out uncovered meat and place it outside on the street, or in the garden or in the park, or in the backyard without a cover, and the cats come and eat it … whose fault is it, the cats or the uncovered meat?

“The uncovered meat is the problem.”

The sheik then said: “If she was in her room, in her home, in her hijab, no problem would have occurred.”

He said women were “weapons” used by “Satan” to control men.

“It is said in the state of zina (adultery), the responsibility falls 90 per cent of the time on the woman. Why? Because she possesses the weapon of enticement (igraa).”

Muslim community leaders were yesterday outraged and offended by Sheik Hilali’s remarks, insisting the cleric was no longer worthy of his title as Australia’s mufti.

Young Muslim adviser Iktimal Hage-Ali - who does not wear a hijab - said the Islamic headdress was not a “tool” worn to prevent rape and sexual harassment. “It’s a symbol that readily identifies you as being Muslim, but just because you don’t wear the headscarf doesn’t mean that you’re considered fresh meat for sale,” the former member of John Howard’s Muslim advisory board told The Australian. “The onus should not be on the female to not attract attention, it should be on males to learn how to control themselves.”

Australia’s most prominent female Muslim leader, Aziza Abdel-Halim, said the hijab did not “detract or add to a person’s moral standards”, while Islamic Council of Victoria spokesman Waleed Ali said it was “ignorant and naive” for anyone to believe that a hijab could stop sexual assault.

“Anyone who is foolish enough to believe that there is a relationship between rape or unwelcome sexual interference and the failure to wear a hijab, clearly has no understanding of the nature of sexual crime,” he said.

Ms Hage-Ali said she was “disgusted and offended” by Shiek Hilali’s comments. “I find it very offensive that a man who considers himself as a mufti, a leader of Australia’s Muslims, can give comment that lacks intelligence and common sense.”

Yesterday, the mufti defended the sermon about “adultery and theft”, a recorded copy of which has been obtained and translated by The Australian.

Sheik Hilali said he only meant to refer to prostitutes as “meat” and not any scantily dressed woman with no hijab, despite him not mentioning the word prostitute during the 17-minute talk.

He told The Australian the message he intended to convey was: “If a woman who shows herself off, she is to blame … but a man should be able to control himself”. He said if a woman is “covered and respectful” she “demands respect from a man”. “But when she is cheap, she throws herself at the man and cheapens herself.”

Sheik Hilali also insisted his references to the Sydney gang rapes were to illustrate that Skaf was guilty and worthy of receiving such a harsh sentence.

Waleed Ali said Sheik Hilali was “normalising immoral sexual behaviour” by comparing women to meat and men to animals and entirely blaming women for being victims.

“It’s basically saying that the immoral response of men to women who are not fully covered is as natural and as inevitable as the response of an animal tempted by food,” he said.

“But (unlike animals) men are people who have moral responsibilities and the capability in engaging in moral action.”

Revelation of the mufti’s comments comes after he criticised Mr Howard last month in The Australian for saying a minority of migrant men mistreated their women. Sheik Hilali said such a minority was found in all faiths. “Those who don’t respect their women are not true Muslims.”

“There’s a small percentage found among all religions, but we don’t recognise ours as Muslims.”

Aziza Abdel-Halim said Sheik Hilali’s remarks during Ramadan were inaccurate and upsetting to the Muslim community.

Accusing a prophet of being a pedophile sounds outrageous. Yet the evidence is undeniable: Tabari IX:128 “When the Prophet married Aisha, she was very young and not yet ready for consummation.” This is how it happened: Tabari IX:131 “My mother came to me while I was being swung on a swing between two branches and got me down. My nurse took over and wiped my face with some water and started leading me. When I was at the door she stopped so I could catch my breath. I was brought in while Muhammad was sitting on a bed in our house. My mother made me sit on his lap. The other men and women got up and left. The Prophet consummated his marriage with me in my house when I was nine years old.” Given a choice, I believe most people would prefer to get their spiritual inspiration from someone who wasn’t a sexual predator.
Muhammad struggled to justify his behavior. Bukhari:V9B86N98 “The Prophet said, ‘A virgin should not be married till she is asked for her consent.’ ‘O Apostle! How will the virgin express her consent.’ He said, ‘By remaining silent.’” Bukhari:V9B87N139-40 “Allah’s Apostle told Aisha, ‘You were shown to me twice in my dreams [a.k.a. sexual fantasies]. I beheld a man or angel carrying you in a silken cloth. He said to me, “She is yours, so uncover her.” And behold, it was you. I would then say to myself, “If this is from Allah, then it must happen.”‘”

One of you did not talk about the benefits of such garments. You talked about how these girls forced to wear. God created us all equal and Give us the right choice and sent messengers to lead us through the rectum. All Muslim believers carry out duties of God. Our women do not wear fear of their men, but a faith in God. Between men and women in our religion is love and mercy, not fear and not tyranny. “Islam guarantees the rights of human religiosity religion they want. Praise God in all Muslim women are safe. Do not see at home, adultery and rape and sexual harassment and debauchery in market and many of the problems suffered by Ahlkm(Parents) and your children. What do these girls is an exercise of their normal lives and not do anything wrong, Vim. Who knows the right knowledge of Islam knows that the urge to enjoy peace Life and reflect on God’s creation.

To the guy up there that said Islam is a disease that destroys empires: you need to take a history course and put some brains in the empty hole that is your head.

The Muslim religion created one of the most advance empires of the middle ages. These people had wallpaper before we had hygene. They conquered everything from Constantinople to Somalia, Spain and India. And they made contributions such as navigation, astronomy, ship buiding, and it could be argued that they were the first to use the military tactic of blitzkrieg; a style of fighting that is quick and pins the enemy before they have time to mobilize.

Learn about what your speaking of, before trying to make dumb comments that have no argumentative potential. I reccomend to you a book I read in one of my History courses at university: Kennedy, Hugh. “The Great Arab Conquests”.

p.s. Arab is a word for people orginating in Arabia, it is not another term for a worshipper of Islam. That would be Muslim. Edumicate yourselves teeny-boppers before you push your views on a public sight where you can be shot down for ignorance.

I’ve spent quite a bit of time in moslem countries and have made some observations. I didn’t try to understand them because if i did I would be as crazy as they are. What the ninja garb does for the women is make them inanimate. They become objects like a coffee table or a fire plug. You just walk around them but don’t pay any attention, they just don’t impinge on your mind. For instance, the site manager treated me to dinner at a nightclub (yeah, there are hypocrites there too) A ninja accompanied us, There was some confusion as to seating in the car, I ended up in front with the driver and the manager was in the back with the ninja. After getting a table a woman came over and sat down. She was in an evening gown, nicely dressed. It took me halfway through dinner to realize this was his wife, the ninja in the back seat. The effect of this goes beyond oppression. It is dehumanizing. It is a new kind of EVIL. BTW all the moslems in this thread are lying, I think it’s a central tenent of islam that you have to lie to infidels. Red

Why does Islam degrade women by keeping them behind the veil?

The status of women in Islam is often the target of attacks in the secular media. The ‘hijaab’ or the Islamic dress is cited by many as an example of the ‘subjugation’ of women under Islamic law. Before we analyze the reasoning behind the religiously mandated ‘hijaab’, let us first study the status of women in societies before the advent of Islam

    1. In the past women were degraded and used as objects of lust

The following examples from history amply illustrate the fact that the status of women in earlier civilizations was very low to the extent that they were denied basic human dignity:

    1.

    Babylonian Civilization:
The women were degraded and were denied all rights under the Babylonian law. If a man murdered a woman, instead of him being punished, his wife was put to death.
    2.

    Greek Civilization:
Greek Civilization is considered the most glorious of all ancient civilizations. Under this very ‘glorious’ system, women were deprived of all rights and were looked down upon. In Greek mythology, an ‘imaginary woman’ called ‘Pandora’ is the root cause of misfortune of human beings. The Greeks considered women to be subhuman and inferior to men. Though chastity of women was precious, and women were held in high esteem, the Greeks were later overwhelmed by ego and sexual perversions. Prostitution became a regular practice amongst all classes of Greek society.
    3.

    Roman Civilization:
When Roman Civilization was at the zenith of its ‘glory’, a man even had the right to take the life of his wife. Prostitution and nudity were common amongst the Romans.
    4.

    Egyptian Civilization:
The Egyptian considered women evil and as a sign of a devil.
    5.

    Pre-Islamic Arabia:
Before Islam spread in Arabia, the Arabs looked down upon women and very often when a female child was born, she was buried alive.

    2. Islam uplifted women and gave them equality and expects them to maintain their status.

Islam uplifted the status of women and granted them their just rights 1400 years ago. Islam expects women to maintain their status.

    Hijaab for men

People usually only discuss ‘hijaab’ in the context of women. However, in the Glorious Qur’an, Allah (swt) first mentions ‘hijaab’ for men before ‘hijaab’ for the women. The Qur’an mentions in Surah Noor:

“Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: and Allah is well acquainted with all that they do.”
    [Al-Qur’an 24:30]

The moment a man looks at a woman and if any brazen or unashamed thought comes to his mind, he should lower his gaze.

    Hijaab for women.

The next verse of Surah Noor, says:

” And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their sons…”
    [Al-Qur’an 24:31]

    3. Six criteria for Hijaab.

According to Qur’an and Sunnah there are basically six criteria for observing hijaab:

    1.

    Extent:

The first criterion is the extent of the body that should be covered. This is different for men and women. The extent of covering obligatory on the male is to cover the body at least from the navel to the knees. For women, the extent of covering obligatory is to cover the complete body except the face and the hands upto the wrist. If they wish to, they can cover even these parts of the body. Some scholars of Islam insist that the face and the hands are part of the obligatory extent of ‘hijaab’.

All the remaining five criteria are the same for men and women.
    2.

The clothes worn should be loose and should not reveal the figure.
    3.

The clothes worn should not be transparent such that one can see through them.
    4.

The clothes worn should not be so glamorous as to attract the opposite sex.
    5.

The clothes worn should not resemble that of the opposite sex.
    6.

The clothes worn should not resemble that of the unbelievers i.e. they should not wear clothes that are specifically identities or symbols of the unbelievers’ religions.

    4. Hijaab includes conduct and behaviour among other things

Complete ‘hijaab’, besides the six criteria of clothing, also includes the moral conduct, behaviour, attitude and intention of the individual. A person only fulfilling the criteria of ‘hijaab’ of the clothes is observing ‘hijaab’ in a limited sense. ‘Hijaab’ of the clothes should be accompanied by ‘hijaab’ of the eyes, ‘hijaab’ of the heart, ‘hijaab’ of thought and ‘hijaab’ of intention. It also includes the way a person walks, the way a person talks, the way he behaves, etc.

    5. Hijaab prevents molestation

The reason why Hijaab is prescribed for women is mentioned in the Qur’an in the following verses of Surah Al-Ahzab:

“O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad); that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
    [Al-Qur’an 33:59]

The Qur’an says that Hijaab has been prescribed for the women so that they are recognized as modest women and this will also prevent them from being molested.

    6. Example of twin sisters

Suppose two sisters who are twins, and who are equally beautiful, walk down the street. One of them is attired in the Islamic hijaab i.e. the complete body is covered, except for the face and the hands up to the wrists. The other sister is wearing western clothes, a mini skirt or shorts. Just around the corner there is a hooligan or ruffian who is waiting for a catch, to tease a girl. Whom will he tease? The girl wearing the Islamic Hijaab or the girl wearing the skirt or the mini? Naturally he will tease the girl wearing the skirt or the mini. Such dresses are an indirect invitation to the opposite sex for teasing and molestation. The Qur’an rightly says that hijaab prevents women from being molested.

    7. Capital punishment for the rapists

Under the Islamic shariah, a man convicted of having raped a woman, is given capital punishment. Many are astonished at this ‘harsh’ sentence. Some even say that Islam is a ruthless, barbaric religion! I have asked a simple question to hundreds of non-Muslim men. Suppose, God forbid, someone rapes your wife, your mother or your sister. You are made the judge and the rapist is brought in front of you. What punishment would you give him? All of them said they would put him to death. Some went to the extent of saying they would torture him to death. To them I ask, if someone rapes your wife or your mother you want to put him to death. But if the same crime is committed on somebody else’s wife or daughter you say capital punishment is barbaric. Why should there be double standards?

    8. Western society falsely claims to have uplifted women

Western talk of women’s liberalization is nothing but a disguised form of exploitation of her body, degradation of her soul, and deprivation of her honour. Western society claims to have ‘uplifted’ women. On the contrary it has actually degraded them to the status of concubines, mistresses and society butterflies who are mere tools in the hands of pleasure seekers and sex marketeers, hidden behind the colourful screen of ‘art’ and ‘culture’.

    9. USA has one of the highest rates of rape

United States of America is supposed to be one of the most advanced countries of the world. It also has one of the highest rates of rape in any country in the world. According to a FBI report, in the year 1990, every day on an average 1756 cases of rape were committed in U.S.A alone. Later another report said that on an average everyday 1900 cases of rapes are committed in USA. The year was not mentioned. May be it was 1992 or 1993. May be the Americans got ‘bolder’ in the following years.

Consider a scenario where the Islamic hijaab is followed in America. Whenever a man looks at a woman and any brazen or unashamed thought comes to his mind, he lowers his gaze. Every woman wears the Islamic hijaab, that is the complete body is covered except the face and the hands upto the wrist. After this if any man commits rape he is given capital punishment. I ask you, in such a scenario, will the rate of rape in America increase, will it remain the same, or will it decrease?

    10. Implementation of Islamic Shariah will reduce the rate of rapes

Naturally as soon as Islamic Shariah is implemented positive results will be inevitable. If Islamic Shariah is implemented in any part of the world, whether it is America or Europe, society will breathe easier. Hijaab does not degrade a woman but uplifts a woman and protects her modesty and chastity.
