If you don’t have a canvas handy, you can use your own hands. The following art works have been made with hair paint, a lot of effort and plenty of creativity. Here are some creative hand paintings.

While what is shown here are not permanent tattoos, they certainly are lovely, and could be inspiration for tattoos. My foot piece was inspired by just such things.

This is not “hair paint” This is the thousands of years old tradition of Mehendi (also called Mehandi, mehdi, heena, henna and other similar names) it is found in many countries around the world. It is used to celebrate weddings, births and other festive events as well as just for fun. “Hair paint”? Perhaps you are confusing it with “black henna” which is indeed made of hair dye and should not be put on skin. Though this all looks like natural henna to me (the darker bits having paste still on them).

I love henna. It is a body art though, not a tattoo art.
