• BEST PICTURE:Â INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS
Nobody could turn World War II into such a clever, profane fairy tale as Quentin Tarentino and all without having to depend on overly distracting Avatar-like special effects.

  • BEST ACTOR: JEFF BRIDGES FOR CRAZY HEART
Why? Not just because he was good, but because Hollywood likes to honor performances hardly anybody saw.

  • BEST ACTRESS: MERYL STREEP FOR JULIE AND JULIA
She was totally delicious as French chef Julia Child.

  • BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS: MO’NIQUE FOR PRECIOUS
Her gig as a monstrous inner-city mom blew me away. Damn! I think I need to call my momma and tell her I love her.

  • BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR: CHRISTOPH WALTZ FOR INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS
As menacing Nazi officer Colonel Hans Landa, he was cold, deadly, vicious, intelligent and charming all at once.

We’ll see if I’m Nostradamus-like, this Sunday!
