Here are my Top 5 Reality Moments of the week:
Teacher/bartender Pam tries to hook back up with former flame Chris, now a middle-aged cabana boy and recovering alcoholic. If she were my daughter, I’d say, “Run from this loser!”, but turns out Pam moved from Jersey to Miami to shack up with her tanned, low income hunk. Chapparal High’s Class of ’89 members ended the season with a prom. Jodi, Joe’s former girlfriend from 20 years back,went into meltdown mode after learning that he proposed to the much hotter Rachelle. Jimmy D tried a second time to get a love match from the agency, but once again, made the mistake of choosing another blonde bimbo who ditched him during the middle of their date to get stinking drunk in her hotel room.
On the way to a bimbette gathering, Tamra argued with Simon in their limo and things got so heated that she even told him she wants a divorce, then went to Vicki for sympathy at the party which, of course, ticked off Simon even more. Alexis brought along her mom, who was fresh from having her face tightened up via plastic surgery. Lynn ignored her daughters’ drinking (again) and Gretchen continued to worship romantic opportunist Slade. Host Jerry Seinfeld started this new show featuring famous “experts” Alec Baldwin and the annoyingly perky Kelly Ripa as they watched a couple of video clips featuring two “average” married couples lodging complaints, like one pair at odds about having a stripper pole put in their bedroom. The three celebrities guffawed and made marginally humorous comments. Amazingly, the audience seemed to find the whole dreary mess hysterically funny, which means that they were either hypnotized or given several glasses of 150 proof booze just before the show. Good thing for Jerry that he’s still earning huge bucks from those old episodes of Seinfeld,’cause if he’d done this gig first, his career would have gone into the toilet.
