CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF
If long lines, embarrassing body scans, big luggage fees and the threat of mentally unbalanced fellow passengers isn’t enough to stress you out about flying the “friendly skies”, here’s some news that may put you over the top. A recent report disclosed the fact that the voice of a child was recently heard in some audio clips giving air traffic directions to incoming and outgoing flights at New York’s JFK, one of the world’s busiest airports. Supposedly, some air traffic controllers must have thought this was a cute thing to put the darling tyke on the mic, but the Federal Aviation Administration was not amused and an investigation is on. Sorry, but I personally prefer anyone guiding my plane to be licensed and past puberty……thank you very much.
